B-E-L-I-E-V-E

Howdy folks! Hope you're all enjoying this beautiful weather we're having here in Tennessee. <---SARCASM! What is it about the rain that makes me want to be curled up on the couch in my pajamas reading a good book?

Ok, I have to tell you, my little guy is just cracking me up lately! He is just so energetic full-of-energy rambunctious! I couldn't hold on to him last night in church. I thought he was going to jump out of my arms and run down the aisle. He didn't even want to sit in his class! I mean, he literally wakes up in the morning ready to go! Babbling and doing everything he can to get out of his crib.

I think I might need to invest in one of these soon:

Otherwise, this is what's going to happen:

I wish I could bottle 1/10 of his energy and sell it like one of those 5-hour energy things. I'd make a fortune!

His new favorite thing is the "moo" and "quack" I told you he was doing. Except, his quack is more of a Donald Duck quacking. I keep trying to get it on video, but alas, he stops all cute things as soon as that red light comes on. Maybe one day...

Alright, enough about my crazy baby, let's move on to the challenge!

Day 12: What You Believe

Ok, I'm totally going to cheat here, but I believe (haha) that someone else has already penned my thoughts on this subject EXACTLY! I don't think I can say it any better than this song by Brooks and Dunn:

Old man Wrigley lived in that white house
Down the street where i grew up
Momma used to send me over with things
We struck a freindship up
I spent a few long summers out on his old porch swing

Says he was in the war when in the navy
Lost his wife, lost his baby
Broke down and asked him one time
How ya keep from going crazy
He said I'll see my wife and son in just a little while
I asked him what he meant
He looked at me and smiled, said

(Chorus)
I raise my hands, bow my head
I'm finding more and more truth in the words written in red
They tell me that there's more to life than just what i can see
Oh i believe

Few years later i was off at college
Talkin' to mom on the phone one night
Getting all caught up on the gossip
The ins and outs of the small town life
She said oh by the way son, old man Wrigley's died.

Later on that night, i laid there thinkin' back
Thought 'bout a couple long-lost summers
I didn't know whether to cry or laugh
If there was ever anybody desevred a ticket to the other side
It'd be that sweet old man who looked me in the eye, said

(Chorus)
I raise my hands, bow my head
I'm finding more and more truth in the words written in red
They tell me that there's more to life than just what i can see

I can't quote the book
The chapter or the verse
You can't tell me it all ends
In a slow ride in a hearse
You know I'm more and more convinced
The longer that i live
Yeah, this can't be
No, this can't be
No, this can't be all there is

(Chorus)
When I raise my hands, bow my head
I'm finding more and more truth in the words written in red
They tell me that there's more to life than just what i can see
I believe
Oh, I
I believe

The belief that there is a God and a better life after this one is what gets me through the hard times. I know that this is not all there is here on Earth. There is a much more wonderful place waiting for us. And I take comfort in the thought that other believers whom I love will be joining me there! :)
